3DS Release Date

The Nintendo 3DS is scheduled to be released on March 31, 2011. The console comes in two colours that will be available at launch. Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue

What are the Main Features of the Nintendo 3DS?


The Nintendo 3DS comes in two colours. Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue. It has two main screens, similiar to that of the Nintendo DSi. The Bottom touch screen is 3.02 inches (equal to that of the Nintendo DS Lite) and displays 320 by 240 pixels. The Upper 3D Screen is 3.53 inches, which displays 3D images and has a screen resolution of 800 by 240 pixels. (400 pixels are allocated to each eye) The 3DS has an SD Card slot, Game card slot, Cradle connector, Ac adapter connector and an audio jack. Previous DS titles are playable on the 3DS Console, although 3DS Games are unplayable on previous consoles. The Nintendo 3DS comes packaged with a built in microphone, and an embedded gyro and motion sensor, allowing for a smoother gaming experience. The 3DS also comes with three cameras. One on the inside for 2d photos and two on the outside for 3D photos.


How much do they cost?


There have been rumors of the 3DS costing over 500 dollars, but these are rubbish. Most major retailers will be selling the Nintendo 3DS for a total cost of $348. This includes a 2GB SD Card, an extendable stylus, and a game or two.
